Guntur to host national-level badminton tourney

Top shuttlers will be seen in action at the Senior All India national ranking Badminton tourney to be held at the Guntur Club from October 1 to October 6. The tourney is organised by Guntur District Badminton Association (GDBA) and Badminton Association of India (BAI).

Club secretary Ramesh Chukkapalli said here on Wednesday that four new synthetic courts had been laid on the club premises at a cost of ₹ 2 crore.

This is the first time Guntur would be hosting an All India Ranking tourney in Badminton.

BAI secretary Punnaiah Chowdary and Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association vice president Rayapati Ranga Rao were present.
