Twelve-time World champion Pankaj Advani said on Monday that IPL-style tournament in billiards or snooker will help talented youngsters to make a mark.
Speaking to the media at BRC, Advani said the national body should explore the possibilities of hosting such a tournament.
He also felt the need to start a professional snooker league in Asia in the lines of the one being played in England.
“Staying in England for six months in a year would be tough. And not many Asians could excel there. Therefore, it is better to have one Asian pro tour,” he said.
On the latest controversy on Padma Bhushan, he said he will not go to the media to express disappointment.
“I think it is a personal choice whether to expresses ones feeling in the media. I wouldn’t do such a thing; that is not my style. I prefer my performance speak for itself,” he said.
