S. Sarath Kumar, representing RAMA Honda Racing by NTS T.Pro Ten10 team, made a promising start to his campaign in the 2017 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, picking up points in both races of the SuperSport 600cc class here over the weekend.
The Chennai-based Sarath, who is coming back from a knee injury, finished 14th in both races, improving on his timing in the second race.
“Although I fell down in preliminary tests and hurt my right shoulder, I was able to ride without any problem. We communicated well with the new mechanics and I hope to improve step by step. I am happy that I scored points in both the races,” said Sarath.
It was a fruitful weekend for RAMA Honda Racing in the SuperSport 600cc class, as Japanese Tiga Hada won race two after coming in second in race one.
