Spurs signs goalkeeper Pletikosa

Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday completed the deadline day transfer of Croatia goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa from Spartak Moscow.

The 31-year-old would have joined the club in January, but failed a medical.

He has spent a long part of the summer on trial at White Hart Lane, where he becomes the fourth Croatian after Luka Modric, Vedran Corluka and Niko Kranjcar.

Pletikosa will be back up to number one Heurelho Gomes, and with the Brazilian struggling with a groin injury could make his debut against West Bromwich Albion a week on Saturday.
