Veteran Karnataka and India bowler Sunil Joshi will formally announce his retirement from international and first-class cricket on Thursday.
The 42-year-old is currently serving as coach of the Hyderabad Ranji Trophy team and had, in effect, bowed out at the end of the 2010-11 domestic season.
Joshi played 15 Tests and 69 ODIs for India between 1996 and 2001.
The left-arm spinner was a mainstay of the Karnataka team since his debut in 1992-93, taking 615 first-class wickets. The Ranji Trophy semifinal loss to Baroda last January was his last first-class game.
