India level the five-match series, 2-2. South Africa are 264/9 at the end of 50 overs, falling 35 runs short of the target. The final match of the series will be at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday, Oct 25.

The Indian skipper M.S. Dhoni after the toss said "The pitch is likely to slow down later, lots depends on dew though it comes in very late. Batting first is something we are good at, though we chase well too."

The South African captain A.B. de Villiers said "We would have batted first too, it's a big toss to lose for us. It will be disappointing if we don't win here. We have two changes as Morkel and Duminy are injured, so Aaron Phangiso and Chris Morris come in. Two frontline bowlers coming in for us in the team. Don't think a lot of people expected us leading after the three matches."
