Pakistan off spinner Mohammad Hafeez failed an unofficial test of his bowling action in India after six of his deliveries were found to have elbow extension of over 15 degrees, according to a laboratory report obtained by The Associated Press on Sunday.

According to the report, four of Hafeez’s six deliveries over the wicket were beyond the 15 degrees elbow extension permitted under ICC rules. His first two deliveries, around the wicket, were also measured at 17 and 19 degrees.

Saeed Ajmal, another suspended Pakistani bowler, ruled himself out of the World Cup last week after the Pakistan Cricket Board determined he needed more time to correct his bowling action.

Pakistan is expected to name its World Cup squad by next Wednesday.
