Haryana all-rounder Joginder Sharma met with an accident in Dwarka on Thursday.

Sharma, who sustained injuries, was operated upon and, according to a Haryana Cricket Association (HCA) official, was said to be out of danger.

Sharma, who was driving to Delhi from Rohtak, was lucky to survive as the car overturned.

He was rushed to the Sri Balaji Action Medical institute.

According to the HCA official, Sharma spoke to the team's physiotherapist, Amit Tyagi, after the operation.

Sharma is best known for the last over he bowled in the 2007 Twenty20 World Cup when India beat Pakistan in the final.
