BCCI’s directive on helmets

December 09, 2014 04:19 am | Updated 04:19 am IST - NEW DELHI:

In a bid to curb the promotion of different stickers on the helmet, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has directed all players involved in domestic cricket to desist from the practice.

The teams have been directed that batsmen are not allowed to display even the India crest on the helmet. The players can now display the logo of only their host association on the helmet.

This directive effectively prevents the players from wearing the helmets displaying the logo of their franchise team in the Indian Premier League.
