Minnu stars for Kerala

Kochi: A fine all-round performance by Minnu Mani (41 and five for 16) enabled Kerala defeat Hyderabad by 42 runs in the South Zone under-23 women’s cricket tournament.

Tamil Nadu captain D. Hemalatha struck an unbeaten century (105) as it defeated Goa by seven wickets. In another match, Andhra crushed Karnataka by nine wickets.

The scores: Kerala 146 for nine in 50 overs (S. Sajana 57, Minnu Mani 41) bt Hyderabad 104 in 41.4 oves (Minnu Mani five for 16).

Goa 182 for three in 50 overs (Sanjula Naik 106) lost to Tamil Nadu 183 for three in 40.4 overs (Hemalatha 105 n.o., L. Nethra 50).

Karnataka 124 in 36.4 overs (S. Chaitra 56, G. Chandra Lekha three for 17) lost to Andhra 128 for one in 34.1 overs (N. Anusha 57 n.o., Mallika Thalluri 53 n.o.).
