Saffron terror

The arrest of a former RSS cadre, Kamal Chauhan, in connection with the firebombing of Samjhauta Express points to the conspiracy hatched by Hindu extremists to derail New Delhi's sincere efforts to bring the people of India and Pakistan closer. It is also an attempt to terrorise Muslims, create confusion and panic and a sense of insecurity in their minds, besides dividing Indians on religious lines.

The government should deal with saffron terrorism in the same way as it deals with terrorism unleashed by Muslim fundamentalists.

Chauhan's arrest is further proof of the fact that Hindu fundamentalist forces are as dangerous as the Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terror outfits. Terrorism has no religion. Impartial steps should be taken to curb the growing number of innocent causalities taking place across the world.

Saffron terrorism is growing at an alarming rate in India. It should be stopped at the earliest.
