The all-Iberian contest will be remembered as one of the best matches in FIFA World Cup history; Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible hat-trick should rank as one of its finest moments (‘Sport’ page, “All square in Iberian derby — Portugal holds Spain in a pulsating encounter”, June 17). Ronaldo is electrifying with his on-field exploits. He is a sheer joy to watch.
