The article “Status of Muslims in West Bengal” (April 14) has put the record of the Left government's efforts in enhancing the status of the minorities in the right perspective. It is scandalous to even think of comparing the performance of the communal Gujarat government to that of the Left, which is the torch-bearer of principled secular politics in India.
Should not the minorities see the inherent danger of falling prey to false propaganda? It is hoped that the West Bengal electorate will consider these factors.
