1. Karnataka hijab row hearing to continue in SC today

Karnataka in Supreme Court on September 20, 2022 said students were goaded into wearing hijab to school by the Popular Front of India (PFI) through social media messages. The hearing is set to continue today as well.

2. EWS quota hearing to continue in SC

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) have been given 10 per cent quota in admissions and jobs out of 50 per cent general category seats for the first time without eroding the “totally independent” reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs, the Centre told the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

4. Union Cabinet to take up logistics policy on Wednesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week unveiled the National Logistics Policy which seeks to cut transportation cost by promoting seamless movement of goods across the country.

5. Ahead of meeting with Joe Biden on Wednesday, U.K. PM Liz Truss vows billions in Ukraine aid

6. CMs of Assam, Mizoram to meet in Delhi on Wednesday for border talks

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma would meet in New Delhi on Wednesday to find a solution for resolving the long-standing border dispute between the two Northeastern states, an official said on Tuesday.
