Cyclone Gaja to intensify into severe cyclonic storm by November 12

A deep depression in the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm and is likely to cross the North  Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coast between Cuddalore and Sriharikota on November 15, regional weather office in Chennai said on November 11.

Alok Kumar, Additional Commissioner of police (Crime), told  The Hindu  that they had formalised the arrest on Sunday morning.

Air India pilot fails alcohol test

Air India's Director-Operations, Capt Arvind Kathpalia, was grounded on Sunday after he failed to clear the pre-flight breath analyser test. Capt. Kathpalia was to operate Delhi-London flight AI-111 scheduled to depart from Delhi at 2.45 p.m. Airline officials said that Capt. Kathpalia was made to take the test twice and failed both times.
