The University Grants Commission on Tuesday issued a fresh directive to Delhi University, asking it to immediately issue letters to all its 64 colleges to admit students for the ensuing academic year under the three-year programme.
This is the third such UGC directive to the University in five days and has come on a day when Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Singh “resigned” before he was persuaded by his team-members to rethink.
In view of the widespread apprehensions of admission-seekers and their parents, the UGC also issued a statement seeking to allay fears of a further delay in admissions that have already been postponed by a week.
