A 22-year-old woman along with her two-year-old daughter committed suicide by coming under the wheels of a speeding train near Nalgonda railway station in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Idulakanti Padma and her daughter Tanushree, native of Ammanabolu village of Narketpally mandal.
The parents of the victim alleged that the woman, Padma, was harassed for additional dowry of Rs. 50,000 from her husband Nagaraju and in-laws and the parents were not in a position to give.
A case has been registered.
