The Vice-President appreciated women farmers of Deccan Development Society (DDS) for bagging the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) ‘Equator Prize’ for 2019.

In his Twitter handle, Mr. Naidu posted: “I am glad to know that women of DDS have been championing the cause of climate change and working relentlessly for the past three decades to protect the environment by following the traditional systems. I commend their efforts to offer global solutions to climate change with traditional Indian systems.”
