‘Singareni aims at synchronising all units by November 15’

The Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) at Jaipur will get its third 600 MW power generation unit in future while the twin 600 MW units under advanced stage of erection will be synchronised in Nov. this year.

The CMD of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), N. Sridhar, instructed officials of STPP to stick to the commitment of synchronising the units latest by November 15 given to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during the latter's visit to the STPP last month.

Mr. Sridhar visited the STPP on Sunday to review the progress of work . The top official visited cooling towers, boilers, turbines and coal handling units inside the STPP. He was apprised about the different aspects of the units by officials, including Singareni Director, Programme and Planning A. Manohar Rao, Director Operations B. Ramesh Kumar, Director Electrical and Maintenance Ramesh Babu, GM Coordination Chandrashekhar and STPP GM Sudhakar Reddy.
