The residents of Nallampally village in Raikod mandal have urged the district administration to restart the laying of roads that were stopped in the middle. A delegation of more than two dozen people from the village arrived at the Collectorate on Monday to explain to the officials the problem they face. They said a resolution had been passed in the Grama Sabha in February to lay a road that would be useful for about 100 farmers, and a link road for Raikod and Kappar Singitam. When road works commenced on May 26, some villagers obstructed the work, saying the road passed through their lands, while others claimed it was government land. - Staff Reporter
