Tension prevailed for some time at Erravalli village in Kondapaka mandal on Monday when large number of villagers obstructed the revenue officials alleging that the value of the structures was not assessed properly and some of them were yet to receive money.
The villagers questioned the officials for the delay in payment even though the assessment was made in some time ago. When revenue officials suggested that they submit their grievances, the villagers got irritated and pointed out that they had been raising the issue with the officials for over a month without any response. Finally some youth in the village pacified the agitating residents with a promise to resubmit the applications.
