Probe Mission Kakatiya implementation: BJP

May 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:55 am IST - WARANGAL:

The BJP district unit has demanded that the State government order a probe into the implementation of Mission Kakatiya. There are large irregularities in works which should be brought to light.

BJP district president A. Ashok Reddy and others said they were ready to provide evidence where the ineligible contractors were given work. Each contractor close to the ruling party members cornered several works in violation of the rules.

“We are ready for an open debate or to provide evidence,” he said.

The TRS party which criticised the then Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy on Jala Yagnam programme, was doing the same by favouring its leaders and encouraging them to amass wealth illegally.

Mr. Reddy said there would be another phase of public movement in Telangana by unemployed youth. Similarly, it did not come to the rescue of distressed farmers.

About 114 farmers committed suicide in the State, but the government failed to give confidence to the farming community, the BJP leader said.
