Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked corporate companies to come forward and support the police in acquiring technology to make Hyderabad a safe and secure city.
He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Hyderabad Police Headquarters and Integrated Command and Control Centre coming up on a seven-acre land parcel at Banjara Hills Road No. 12.
The State government had sanctioned Rs. 302 crore for construction of the building and another 700 crore would be allocated for the purpose in the next budget, the Chief Minister said. He assured that the twin tower building will be constructed in the shortest time.
Two floors in the building would be allocated to various government departments. “It is a fusion of all technologies. In times of crises or disaster, different department personnel will be here to make a coordinated effort,” Mr. Rao said.
He asked the people to become police friendly. “People have a different perception about the police. Unless, both the public and the police change their attitude, a friendly relation is not possible,” he said.
Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Hyderabad Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
