Names in passport and visa should match

If my name and surname get interchanged on the I-20 form given by a U.S. university, will I experience any problems in obtaining a visa?

The name given on your I-20 form must match the name given in your passport. You must request a new I-20 form from your university with the correct name as it appears in your passport.
