Medico commits suicide in hostel

A student of the medical college here reportedly committed suicide unable to bear the stress.

Swarna Kumari (19), pursuing her first year course at the government medical college, took the extreme step in the intervening night of June 3 and 4 in her room at the college hostel. In the suicide note, purportedly written by her, Kumari said that she was unable to cope with the stress of studies in college. Speaking to The Hindu , a student of the college, on condition of anonymity, said that the syllabus was huge and comprehending it had become quite a task due to inadequate staff.
