Collector N. Satyanarayana has said that the district is number five in all parameters and third in respect of healthcare among the newly-formed districts.
The district was in second position in purchasing paddy in kharif. Through Horticulture Department under micro and drip irrigation scheme implements worth about ₹32.90 crore were distributed to 3,576 farmers. Under the sheep distribution scheme 13,734 sheep were purchased with an amount of ₹7.25 crore were distributed to 654 sheep farmers.
