Minister for Home Nayini Narasimha Reddy has said that the State government was taking all measures to set up fire stations in all the 119 Assembly segments in the State.
Speaking after inaugurating a fire station at Vemulawada on Tuesday along with Karimnagar MP B. Vinod Kumar, Vemulawada legislator Ch. Ramesh Babu and others, he said that the Telangana government had sanctioned 21 fire stations in the last four years and added that they were taking all measures to open fire stations in each and every Assembly segment.
Predicting that the TRS would remain in power for another 15 years, the Minister said that the Congress was day-dreaming of attaining power. “TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar will not remove his beard as the Congress will not come to power in the State,” he stated.
Flaying former MP Ponnam Prabhakar for his allegations on the development of the Vemulawada Temple, he said that Mr. Prabhakar would lose the deposit in the coming elections. He said that the BJP at the most would win five Assembly seats in the State.
He said that the Congress leaders, who were unable to see the development should get their eyes tested at the Kanti Velugu programme which would be launched on August 15.
Collector D. Krishna Bhaskar, SP Rahul Hegde B.K., district fire officer T. Poornachander Rao and others were present.
Earlier, the Home Minister offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada. He also participated in the traditional ritual of tying an ox at the shrine.
The temple authorities have accorded traditional welcome to the Minister and presented him with portrait of the shrine and prasadam. The Minister also inspected the ongoing developmental work at the shrine.
