Ministers ask sheep rearers to make best use of govt. schemes

Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav called upon the Yadav community to spare part of their land for growing fodder.

Participating in awareness programme along with Finance Minister Eatala Rajender on second phase of sheep distribution held at Husnabad on Saturday, Mr. Srinivas Yadav said that the government has been extending fodder seed on 75 % subsidy and sheep grazers should come forward to use the opportunity.

He suggested that Golla Kurmas form as societies for the best use of the benefits. Informing that sheep distribution scheme was a grand success with 64 lakh sheep giving birth to 30 lakh lambs, the Minister expressed hope that the second phase would yield much better results. He has also suggested to them to use the services of 1962 for any health emergency of animals.

Mr. Rajender said that the government has been according priority for middle class and poor and had designed many schemes for their welfare. He has also promised to extend loan facility for them.

Husnabad MLA Satish Kumar, MLCs Paturi Sudhakar Reddy, Naradasu Lakshmana Rao, Golla Kurma Sangham chairman Rajaiah Yadav, Principal Secretary (Animal Husbandry) Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Sheep Federation Corporation Managing Director K. Laxma Reddy and others participated in the programme.
