Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson K. Karunasagar lodged a complaint with Kanchanbagh Police alleging that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar abetted suicide of TSRTC Khammam depot driver D. Srinivas Reddy. He wanted legal action to be taken against the Chief Minister and the Transport Minister.

Kanchanbagh police inspector J. Venkat Reddy said that they will inform Khammam-II Town Police Station about the complaint, where case related to the matter is registered.

RTC driver Srinivas Reddy immolated himself at his home in Khammam on Saturday and succumbed to burns at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday.

In his complaint, Mr Karunasagar alleged that the RTC driver slipped into depression after the Chief Minister issued a statement that 48,000 striking employees of TSRTC dismissed themselves by not joining duty before the government’s deadline expired, and ruled out taking back them.
