Coal smuggling racket busted

The Ramagundam Task Force police busted the illegal coal smuggling racket with the arrest of three persons at two brick kilns in Loka Kesaram village of Ramagiri mandal on Monday. Ramagundam Task Force ACP Vijaya Saradhi said coal from Singareni collieries was being used by the brick kilns and the Task Force personnel led by its inspector Sirilal raided the two brick kiln premises and seized 190 tonnes of coal valued at ₹8 lakh. They arrested the accused Md. Saleem, S. Narayana and his brother Srinivas and handed over to the Singareni security officers for further investigations.
