Patients suffering from cervical spondylitis, sinusitis, paralysis and several other ailments particularly related to neurological and muscular disorders, can now avail panchakarma therapy at the Government Ayurvedic Hospital situated on the premises of the district headquarters hospital here.

An exclusive panchakarma wing has been established under the aegis of the Department of AYUSH (ayurveda, yoga, unani, siddha and homeopathy) at the Ayurvedic hospital.

The wing has panchakarma treatment facilities such as steam bath and body massage with medicated oils extracted from herbs. A 10-bed in-patient wing has also been set up at the Ayurvedic hospital.

The ancient system of panchakarma ayurvedic therapy offers natural healing for ailments like arthritis, migraine, varicose veins, joint pains, and other disorders, said G Siva Raman, Senior Medical Officer, Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Khammam.

Trained personnel of the Ayurvedic Department will offer the panchakarma therapy including shiro dhara and kayachikitsa treatment to the needy patients free of cost.
