AIR Nizamabad completes 27 years

Network gained strength over the decades

B. Surya Prakash, Station Director, All India Radio, Nizamabad, has said that the station had gone from strength to strength over the last two and a half decades with the dedicated work and cooperation of all the staff members.

Addressing the gathering of staff at the AIR station premises at Nyalkal, here on Friday, he said the station has successfully completed 27 years today. “Mann Ki Baat” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was heard by a large number of people, he said, and greeted all the staff members on the occasion of its formation day.

Station engineer V. Rajeswar said that the station network expanded over the entire old district and parts of Nirmal, Jagityal and Nanded districts. The station would get a new transmitter soon which would enable the expansion of network.

Prabhathalahari, Hello Doctor, Kisanvani and Sivaranjani programmes being broadcast from the station were popular among different sections of people, he said.
