PEDDAPALLI: The Telangana Boggu Karmika Sangham (TGBKS) affiliated to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi is spearheading the electioneering for recognized trade union elections of Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
The union is conducting gate-meetings with the coal miners at various underground and open cast projects in the coal belt for the election scheduled to be held in November.
Sangham general secretary Kenjerla Mallaiah conducted a gate-meeting with the miners at GDK five incline underground mine in the Ramagundam region on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he promised the miners of fulfilling their dream of owning a house if the TGBKS becomes recognized trade union.
Stating that other coal companies in the country have ‘own your house’ scheme for the miners, he promised them of replicating it in Singareni with the support of the TRS Government.
He asked theminers to express their gratitude to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who announced revival of dependant employment scheme for the benefit of miners’ children. The best way to thank KCR will be by electing TGBKS in all the 11 divisions of the Singareni Collieries, he opined.
