Farmers in Adilabad on Saturday continued with their protests at a few places in Nirmal Revenue Division against the grossly inadequate power supply which was damaging their standing crops. The protests were staged mainly by paddy farmers in Khanapur, Dilawarpur and Kuntala mandals.

At Kalwa tanda in Sirgapur of Dilawarpur mandal about 70 farmers confined the sub station operator and helper to their room by locking them inside. They staff were released only after they went back after staging a dharna at the sub station for nearly two hours.

At Beernandi village in Khanapur mandal about 100 farmers staged a dharna while an equal number of farmers sat in front of the sub station for over three hours at Kallur in Kuntala mandal.
