The Tamil Maanila Congress will hold a protest against the Tamil Nadu government and the Centre, in front of the Collector’s office here on Friday, party president G.K. Vasan said.

In a statement, Mr. Vasan blamed the State government for being inefficient and lethargic in tackling the spread of dengue.

“In the past few months, dengue has been spreading across the State and many have lost their lives due to the disease. In Chennai alone, more than 10,000 people have been affected,” Mr. Vasan said.

Mr. Vasan blamed the Centre for the rise in fuel prices and said the free hand given to oil companies to fix fuel prices led to this.
