Six new Ministers sworn in

Governor administers oath of office and secrecy

Six new Ministers were sworn in at a simple function at the Raj Bhavan here on Sunday in the presence of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

They were administered oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, K Rosaiah.

The new Ministers are S.Damodaran, R.Kamaraj, M.Paranjothi, V.Moorthy, S.Sundararaj and K.T.Rajenthra Bhalaji.

They have come in the place of C.Shanmugavelu, R.B.Udhayakumar, S.P.Shanmughanathan, N.R.Sivapathi, G.Senthamizhan and Budhichandhiran.

Portfolios

Mr.Damodaran has been given the portfolio of Agriculture, Mr.Kamaraj would be the Minister in charge of Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Price Control, Mr. Paranjothi will handle Hindus Religious and Charitable Endowments, Mr.Moorthy Milk and Dairy Development, Dr. Sundararaj Handlooms and Textiles and Mr. Bhalaji Information and Special Programme Implementation.

Ms.Jayalalithaa's Council of Ministers continues to have 32 Ministers.
