Police are on the lookout for a 45-year-old man for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl here on Thursday.
The accused Chandra Reddy alias Appaya Reddy had gone to the girl’s house when her parents were out in the fields, forced her to accompany him to his field and sexually assaulted her.
The victim-survivor, whose parents are agricultural wage labourers, told her parents of the incident on their return home.
Following this, the girl’s father lodged a complaint with the Balagur police on Tuesday.
Medical examination
The victim was sent for medical examination to Hosur Government Hospital. Police have registered a case and are on the look-out for the accused, who is at large.
