Recruitment for committees under Juvenile Justice Act

Recruitments are to be made to the committees concerned under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2006 in Krishnagiri district.

Members

Under this, social worker member for the Juvenile Justice Committee and a chairperson and members for Child Welfare Committees are to be recruited as mandated under the JJ Act, 2006.

According to a district administration press release, the applicant must have not less than seven years experience in child health, welfare, and education-related field, and must be between 35 years and 65 years of age.

Service members whose term is slated to end can also apply.

However, no member can serve beyond two terms in any of the aforementioned posts, according to the press release.

The applicant must have a recognised degree from a recognised university.

Those with a degree in criminology, psychology, psychiatry, sociology, economics, English, social work, education, rural development and medicine, may be given priority in selection for the committees.

Eligible applicants are required to send in their applications within 15 days to the Commissioner, Department of Social Defence, No.300, Purasawalkam High Road, Chennai – 600 010.
