Actor Rajinikanth has come out of the intensive care unit and has been shifted to a private ward, the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre said here on Sunday evening.

“He is cheerful and is spending time with all the family members and is watching cricket match (on television) keenly. His vital parameters are stable,” the SRMC said in a press release.

Visitors are strictly not allowed as per the advice of doctors, it said.

Rajinikanth, who was admitted to the hospital on May 13 for treatment of respiratory and acute gastrointestinal infection, was shifted to the ICU on May 18 morning for close monitoring and treatment.
