Quack arrested near Ranipet

A quack practicing allopathy was arrested following a joint raid carried out by a police team, a doctor and a drug inspector in the clinic run by him in Pudhu Agraharam village i near Ranipet on Friday.

Manimegalai, Joint Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Vellore said following information about the quack, she deputed Senthamaraikannan, Chief Civil Surgeon of the Government Pentland Hospital, Vellore to visit the spot along with the police and take action.

Dr. Senthamaraikannan said that he, along with Kesarinathan, Drug Inspector of Vellore and the police team from SIPCOT Police Station went to the clinic of Siva alias Sivalingam of Vanapadi village on Friday evening and found that he was illegally practicing allopathy for the last 25 years.

Siva claimed that he had completed Old SSLC, but he could not produce the certificate. The police team arrested him and seized the medicines and syringes in the clinic.
