T.S. Sridhar, Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner for Revenue Administration, reviewed the progress of development schemes implemented by different government departments in the district at a meeting held at the Collectorate here on Tuesday.
He reviewed the implementation of various welfare schemes department wise.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sridhar urged the officials to ensure that the benefits of the welfare schemes reached the target groups in right time.
K. Maharabushanam, District Collector, explained the steps taken to execute all the development works as per schedule.
The officials from all the government departments participated in the meeting.
Mr. Sridhar gave away welfare assistance under different programmes to 121 beneficiaries belonging to weaker sections. He handed over house site deeds to 105, education scholarship of Rs. 25,000 each from the Chief Minister’s general fund to six students, cash awards to the State and district level toppers in the SSLC and public examinations belonging to adi-dravida community, cycles to three, and wheel chairs to two differently abled persons.
