Placement programme begins

Students queue up to register their names at the Tamil Nadu State-Level Placement Programme organised by Anna University, Chennai, at the Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal, on Friday.

The two-day Tamil Nadu State Level Placement Programme (TNSLPP) 2014-15 for the benefit of students of self-financing engineering colleges in Coimbatore and Tirunelveli zones of Anna University, Chennai, commenced at the Mahendra Engineering College here on Friday.

The event has been organsied by Anna University, Chennai, in association with its Centre for University Industry Collaboration (CUIC). Infosys Limited conducted the drive and recruited the candidates.

Students in the final year B.E. or B.Tech CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, ICE and IT and Master of Computer Applications, who will be passing out in 2015 from the self-financing engineering colleges situated in the Coimbatore and Tirunelveli zones of Anna University, participated.

The students with a CG PA of 7.49 (no rounding off) or more with no standing arrears in all the semesters so far were allowed to participated in the campus drive.

The students appeared for the online test, technical round and finally HR round. .

The programme was inaugurated by M. G. Bharath Kumar, chairman, Mahendra Engineering College, in the presence of Bose, Deputy Director, Anna University, Chennai, HR professionals from Infosys.
