Mettur dam fills up as inflow stays high

With the inflow continuing at over 66,000 cusecs (cubic feet per second) on Saturday evening, the water in the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur was inching closer to its full reservoir level (FRL) of 120 ft. The realisation of water in River Cauvery at Mettur stood at 66,375 cusecs on Saturday evening, compared to 69,590 on Friday evening. About 20,000 cusecs of water was being discharged from the dam.
