A large number of devotees from different parts of the State participated in the maha kumbabishekam of Arulmigu Arthanareeswarar Hill Temple here on Wednesday.

The mahakumbabishekam commenced on Saturday with vigneswara puja, maha Ganapathi homam, navagraha homam, and yagams. Holy water was sprinkled on the Rajagopuram and all kalasams of Gods Sengottuvelar, Arthanareeswarar and Nageswarar. Tirukalyanam and Tiruveedhi ula were held in the evening. Annadhaanam was organised in many parts of the district in connection.
