Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) president M. Karunanidhi, in the national capital since Friday, is slightly indisposed and is likely to return to Chennai on Tuesday morning.

Sources said he had mild fever, severe cold and back pain and was resting. The low temperatures at night in New Delhi could be the reason for his illness, they said.

On Saturday, Mr. Karunanidhi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and visited his daughter Kanimozhi in Tihar jail, in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation case.

When he met Dr. Singh, the DMK chief took up issues such as the ongoing stir against the Kudankulam atomic power plant, attack on Tamil Nadu fishermen on the high seas by the Sri Lankan Naval personnel, resettlement of internally displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka, gazette notification of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal's final order and Kerala's proposed construction of a new reservoir across the Mullaiperiyar.
