The State government on Wednesday transferred and posted P. Thamaraikannan, Inspector-General of Police/Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (North), Chennai Police, as Inspector-General of Police, Administration, Chennai, in the place of T.P. Sundaramoorthy, who retired on January 31.
An official release said that Abhash Kumar, Inspector-General of Police, Modernisation, Chennai, would replace Mr. Thamaraikannan as Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (North), Chennai Police. A. Amalraj, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Tiruchi Range, is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Salem Range, in place of Sanjay Kumar, who is posted as Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Thanjavur Range, in the existing vacancy.
Posted as ASPPM.S. Nisha Shekar, Assistant Superintendent of Police, on compulsory wait, has been posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Kottakuppam sub-division, Villupuram district, the release said.
