Camps to enable old age pensioners to open bank accounts

Since the state government has decided to get the old age pension credited into the bank accounts of the pensioners, special camps have been arranged in the different firkas in Katpadi taluk as follows to enable the pensioners not having accounts already to open new bank accounts:

May 20-Melpadi firka; May 21-Tiruvalam; May 22-Katpadi; May 23-K.V. Kuppam; May 25-Vaduganthangal.

According to a press release from the Special Tahsildar (Social Security Scheme), Katpadi, bank officers/business correspondents and village administrative officers will be attending the special camps to help the pensioners to open new bank accounts.

Requisites

The old age pensioners in the villages coming under the above firkas have been requested to attend the camps, bringing with them two passport size photos, and photo copies of their Aadhar card, family card, electors’ photo identity card and the receipt of their last drawn pension.
