Health Minister C. Vijaya Baskar has said that all records were in the public domain and that the government was transparent about the treatment provided to the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

“We have placed all facts and figures in the public domain. We are open, we are transparent, and we are clear,” he said in a statement released after his media interaction in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“O. Panneerselvam was given additional responsibilities besides the authority to conduct the Assembly 19 days after Ms. Jayalalithaa was hospitalised. I leave it to his conscience to answer the questions he has raised,” he said and added, “If he insists on a judicial commission to inquire into the treatment provided he should be the first person to appear before it.”
