Inflow into Mettur Dam goes up

The inflow into Stanley Reservoir in Mettur Dam increased from 6,873 cusecs on Tuesday to 9,083 cusecs on Wednesday morning.

Public Works Department officials said that the inflow started to increase from the wee hours of Wednesday as the water level at 8 a.m. stood at 69.39 feet as against its full reservoir level of 120 feet. The storage was 32.160 tmc against the dam’s capacity of 93.470 tmc. The discharge continues to be at 12,000 cusecs for irrigation in Delta districts.

During the same period last year, the water level stood at 69.47 feet while the outflow was 3,769 cusecs and the discharge 10,000 cusecs.
