EC's advice to overseas Indians

The Election Commission (EC) has urged overseas Indians, who are not citizens/voters of any foreign country, to register their names for inclusion in the electoral rolls by applying to the Indian missions abroad or the Chief Electoral Officer/Electoral Registration Officer of their State.

They have to submit Form 6A for this and can get further details by visiting the EC's website eci.nic.in. Identification of such overseas Indian voters during polls would be only through verification of original passports, a release from the EC said.
